Welcome to La Cave à Vin

Where history and flavour intertwine

Our journey begins with Fiona, a curious young woman from ancient Scotland. Her love for wildflowers, herbs, and honey led her to craft unique concoctions with birch water. Deep within the hidden caves of Kinnoull Hills, her experiments evolved into something magical: mead, the very first fermented honey wine widely enjoyed in Scotland. At La Cave à Vin, which charmingly translates to "The Wine Cellar," we celebrate this rich history. Legend whispers that the Scots Gaelic word for 'Vin,' Fion, is a tribute to Fiona – a testament to how simple curiosity can shape culture and tradition. Just as Fiona explored the tastes of her land, we invite you to explore a world of flavour. We proudly offer a great selection of wines from around the globe, each bottle carrying its own story.
